MyHealthCompare.com is a free website that makes it easy for users to rank and compare over 4500 US hospitals based on the quality of medical care they deliver.
The data used to rank the hospitals comes directly from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). But, the CMS site merely reports the raw data (up to 43 separate ones for each hospital) which makes it difficult for someone without a healthcare background to interpret the information and use it.
MyHealthCompare consolidates the measures for each hospital, calculates a single "Overall Score" and generates a ranking. Easy to understand, users can quickly identify where they are most likely to get the best care.
