Cancer Rates Falling

Nearly 1.5 million Americans will be diagnosed with cancer this year, and more than 562,000 will die from it. But, there is good news regarding cancer. A new report announced that the rate of new cancer diagnoses fell by slightly less than 1 percent a year from 1999 to 2006 and the death rate fell by 1.6 percent a year. The report was released by the American Cancer Society, National Cancer Institute and the Centers for Disease Control.
